(Indianapolis, IN) -- A 64-year-old Indianapolis man opened fire on a man he caught breaking into his house on Thursday. Metro Police Sergeant Paul Thompson said the shooting was self defense.

Twenty-three-year-old Bryan Tuggle, who was alleged to be ransacking the house, was shot in the chest and is in critical condition. Phillip Dubbs said his house had been broken into a few months ago, with several items stolen. No charges are expected to be filed against him for the shooting.
